21 August : London become safe haven for notorious criminals.

Today is another dark chapter in the political history of Bangladesh; the nightmare of August 21 attack came back. It’s also one of the worst days for the former Prime minister Khaleda Zia's rule. It was a failed attempt, a cool minded plan made by the ruling BNP and various intelligence agencies of the state, to wipe out all the frontline leaders of the biggest political party, including the then Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Sheikh Hasina. The world rarely had seen such a horrible event. Instead of punishing the culprits, the then ruling party, including Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, has joked about the incident. Like mocking the assassination of Sheikh Hasina's father and father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, the BNP government in that time had made arrangements for the killers to flee the country. The victims of this bloody incident of 2004 are still in our memory, the day when 22 leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League were killed by a dozen grenades at a public meeting in Dhaka. I do not know how long it will take to persecute the murderers, according to the verdict delivered against the criminals. Unfortunately, Britain has now sheltered Tarique Zia who is one of the masterminds of the incident, and now a convicted fugitive. Sorry to say, London has become a safe paradise for many of the world's most notorious murderers. 21-8-2020
